OpenRoads ConceptStation CONNECT Edition

Using a Custom Coordinate System

When creating a new file, a Coordinate System must be assigned. It is selected from the Coordinate System drop down list.

To use a custom coordinate system in OpenRoads ConceptStation , you need the definition of the coordinate system in a DTY file format.

Copy the Coordinate System Definition

The file.dty containing the definition of the custom coordinate system must be copied to:

C:\Program Files\Bentley\ OpenRoads ConceptStation CONNECT Edition\DgnGeoCoord\UserLibraries

Select the Custom Coordinate System When Creating a New File

When creating a new file the custom coordinate system should appear in the coordinate system list, no matter which region is displayed or defined on the map.

Sharing the file

When sharing the file with another OpenRoads ConceptStation user, it is possible to open the file. In this case, it is not possible to import terrain data. The best way to proceed is to share both the DGNDB file and the DTY file containing the custom coordinate system definition.
